COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS ~

Sunday, May 20 - 10 am  - Eruv Construction @ Ahavath Achim:

Put On Your Hard Hat and Build With Us: We will be building an Eruv around our property so that we can utilize it on Shabbat. According to Jewish Law, halakha, one may not carry outside without an Eruv. The construction of an Eruv is highly complex and is usually only done by highly competent rabbis. We decided to do things a little differently and get the community involved in the construction (anyway, have you ever seen a rabbi with a hammer?!). Please join us for an introduction into the principles behind the construction of Eruvs, a survey of our property to decide where to build, followed by the actual construction.
