Holocaust CD

On July 30, 2009, Tisha B’Av, congregation member, Morris Engelson, gave a talk on the Holocaust and the story of his survival. People who attended and others, urged that a recording of this material be made generally available, and we have done so.

An expanded version of this talk, lasting 3.5 hours, has been produced by the congregation. Because we believe that this material is powerful, informative and significant, we have chosen to make the CD available at no charge to anyone who asks for it. The eight tracks of material consist of the following:

An introduction to the program by Rabbi Brodkin, Rav of the Congregation.

Track 1. An explanation why the material was rerecorded and expanded.

Track 2. Summary of the presentation and statement respecting sources.

Track 3. Holocaust, Tisha B’Av, Purim, “final solution” and death camps.

Track 4. “Story of my Survival” begins.

Track 5. The Einsatzgruppen.

Track 6. “Story of my survival” concludes.

Track 7. Concluding remarks and assault on Jewish character of Holocaust.
